Regarding Continentals and Jinteki Lag

Just a quick article and shout-out from ya boi here. We wanted to let everyone know that we are aware of the current lag issues with Jinteki.net and are sensitive to their potential impact on the upcoming Continental Championships. We have a solution that we hope will make the event more enjoyable for everyone in all regions.

As of yesterday, in collaboration with the Jinteki.net development team, we have spooled up a new instance of Jinteki located at https://play.nullsignal.games/ and are going to be using this instance for all the Continental Championships. In addition to using a new instance of the server running on beefier hardware, we will also have people on hand to restart it if necessary.

User data will not be copied to this new instance, so we ask that you register an account on the new server as soon as possible if you’re competing. Please do not use it for non-tournament play. Please also note that this instance is temporary and does not represent NISEI taking over that project (which is separate from us). We worked together with its developers to set this up, and it will be closed down after Continentals conclude. We have no desire to either fragment the playerbase or to interfere with how the Jnet developers manage their project.

Also, this is your final warning that registration for APAC will end August 18th at 11:59pm AWST (UTC +8). Please get your tickets and register as soon as you can if you don’t want to miss out on that tournament. Links below, and you can find additional information on the other tournaments in our ticketing article.

Love, always, and always be running.
