The 2024 competitive season is almost upon us and we are pleased to announce its first slate of events: the Null Signal Games 2024 H1 Circuit Openers! You can order the 2024 Circuit Opener kit here before 18 December 2023 at 23:59 UTC. This year we’ll be fulfilling orders through the Null Signal Games distribution team, and returning to the manufacturing process that we used in 2022.
There are two versions of the kits: Basic and Boosted. Each Tournament Organizer can pick the kit that best suits their expected number of players.

A Basic Circuit Opener kit contains:

These kits will only be available for sale until 18 December 2023 at 23:59 UTC. The price of the Basic kit is $60, and the price of the Boosted kit is $100. This includes free shipping worldwide.
The price above is also intended to cover any applicable customs duties. We are aware that in some cases deliveries of our previous Circuit Opener kit were charged customs duties even though they should not have been. Our process for this season should help resolve these issues, but should you be charged customs duties for your kit, please contact us and we will reimburse you.

- Top 2: Cat’s Cradle playmat.
- Top 4: 3× Prepaid VoicePAD alt art
- Top 8: 3× Tatu-Bola alt art.
Each kit contains an additional playset of Prepaid VoicePAD and Tatu-Bola, and an additional Cat’s Cradle playmat, for the Tournament Organizer to keep. The kit also contains 6 × Drafter. Originally a 2022 NSG National Championships promotion, these alts can be used as side-event prizes, door prizes, or anything else at the Organizer’s discretion.
Boosted Prize Structure
- Winner: Invitation to the 2025 Circuit Breaker Invitational Championship.
- Top 4: Cat’s Cradle playmat.
- Top 8: 3× Prepaid VoicePAD alt art
- Top 16: 3× Tatu-Bola alt art.
Each kit contains an additional playset of Prepaid VoicePAD and Tatu-Bola, and an additional Cat’s Cradle playmat, for the Tournament Organizer to keep. The kit also contains 12× Drafter. Originally a 2022 NSG National Championships promotion, these alts can be used as side-event prizes, door prizes, or anything else at the Organizer’s discretion.
There is no limit on the number of Circuit Breakers each Organizer may purchase and/or run, as long as each event is supported by at least one kit. An entry fee may be collected to cover the cost of the kit (and venue hire, where applicable). Note that if a single event uses more than one kit, that event will still only offer up to 2 (if 20+ players attend) to the 2025 Circuit Breaker Invitational.
We encourage Tournament Organizers to supplement the prize pool with other prizes sourced from Game Night Kits or the many amazing community creators. Players can log on to AlwaysBeRunning.net to find events, as well as claim their finishes on events they played in.
Event Restrictions
Circuit Openers are Sanctioned events for the purposes of the Organized Play Policies. This means they are expected to follow the prize structure above. The tournament structure for these events is classified as Casual, and should also follow guidelines outlined in the Policies. As a Sanctioned event, purchasing this kit means contracting an obligation to run a Circuit Opener. Buying a kit to either keep or to resell undermines the spirit of these competitions and the legitimacy of the prizes which other players had to enter and place in a tournament to win.
Circuit Openers can be run in either Startup or Standard format. Tournament Organizers are expected to advertise their events on AlwaysBeRunning.net.
This event can be run at any point during the 2024 calendar year. However, there will be a second Circuit Opener kit to cover the second half of 2024, so you may wish to run your event in the first half of the year. For the winner to be able to take advantage of their 2025 Circuit Breaker Invitational entry, it is advised events should take place before December 2024.
