Over the course of the last two weeks, we introduced you to the three new keyword mechanics coming in Midnight Sun. Our Narrative team told stories of eco-insurrectionists, a keen-eyed criminal, the “Butcher of Siberia,” and more. And for the full two weeks, the Netrunner community has been abuzz with discussion about the set, from podcasts and videos to community hubs.

What’s next?
Midnight Sun is now available on our MakePlayingCards storefront in English, German, French, Traditional Chinese, and Catalan; and on our DriveThruCards storefront in English. The print-and-play PDFs are also available for download. For more information, visit the Midnight Sun product page.
The full Midnight Sun set should be available on NetrunnerDB by the end of today, and Jinteki.net implementation is planned to be completed by the end of the weekend.
Now that Midnight Sun is released, it’s time for a Standard rotation. As of August 5, 2022, cards from the following sets will no longer be legal in competitive Standard play, unless they have been reprinted in a Standard-legal set:
- Order and Chaos
- The Mumbad Cycle
As previously announced, Startup will not rotate with this release, and will instead rotate with our next set, Parhelion.

Now that the full set is out, we’re starting the countdown on the Midnight Sun Booster Pack. The Booster Pack will only be available for another month, after which time we’ll permanently remove it from our product listings. If you’d like a copy and haven’t got one yet, grab it with your Midnight Sun order!
Finally, the next version of the NISEI Comprehensive Rules, version 1.6, has been released and added to the Comprehensive Rules Hub. Expect individual card rulings and clarifications to be added to NetrunnerDB card pages in the coming weeks.
