Hello everyone!
I hope you’re all super jazzed about Worlds happening in less than two weeks!! I know I for one can’t wait. Three days of amazing people, great memories, and, of course, tonnes and tonnes of Netrunner, including every power player’s favorite format, Eternal!
With the release of Midnight Sun, we put out a call for folks to playtest some proposed changes we had to the Eternal Points List. Midnight Sun brought some very exciting additions to Eternal that we’ve been keeping a very close eye on. Based on testing and discussions within the community and internally, we have arrived at the following changes to the points list:
Eternal Points List 22.09 Summary of Changes
Effective date: 26 September, 2022
- Museum of History is now 2 points (up from 1 point)
- Mutually Assured Destruction is now 1 point
- Ob Superheavy Logistics is now 1 point

Explanation of Changes
Museum of History is an iconic and powerful card that has been the cornerstone for one of the format’s best decks, Gagarin. The deck uses the power of Mumbad City Hall, Estelle Moon and Museum to keep assets pumping onto the board before eventually killing you. We believe that putting Museum to 2 points will force the Gagarin decks to choose between Estelle and Mumbad City Hall, in the hopes of curbing the power level of the deck.
Two new cards have also made the list! Both of these cards in the Eternal card pool allow for some incredibly powerful combos. Being able to play Mutually Assured Destruction with Jeeves Model Bioroids on the table, setting up a lethal High-Profile Target, is incredibly powerful and provides these wide green asset decks yet another win condition. Next, Ob is an incredibly consistent combo engine in the Eternal card pool, being able to use Estelle Moon to not only turbo draw, but also tutor any 1-cost card. The flexibility is incredibly powerful and allows for turn 3 and turn 4 kills.
While we believe that the above list may need additional refinement, we are publishing it now in order to have a new official list for Worlds. We are eager for people participating in Eternal side-events on Day 3 of Worlds to try it out, and we hope to draw more lessons and data from how the format feels on the day. We plan to have more Eternal news soon after Worlds, so, if Netrunner’s most powerful format excites you, stay tuned for what we have planned for the end of this year!
That’s all from me! I look forward to Siphoning and CI-ing as many of you as I can at Worlds!
