Announcing the 2023 American Continental Championship

We are thrilled to announce that this year’s Cascadia Pacific Northwest Championship, taking place in Seattle, Washington on 12-13 August 2023, has been awarded the prestigious title of the Netrunner 2023 American Continental Championship! This event will have all the same prizing from the two online Continental Championships, and be the first in-person Continental Championship since 2019!

The keen eyed among you will notice we said ‘this year.’ The hosts of the event, Sam “Radiant” Posa and Eric “Whiteblade” Keilback, would like you to know that they plan on making Cascadia a continuing annual event. It will not host the Continental Championship every year, but we think this is a great way to support a fantastic community event in its first year.

Hosted and sponsored by Mox Boarding House and supported by Null Signal Games, this year’s tournament will take place in Seattle, Washington, on 12-13 August. Netrunner enthusiasts from across the region will gather to sling cardboard, make friends, and compete to become the American Continental Champion.

Day 1 will be the Swiss rounds for the Standard main event. The competition will be trialing a single-sided swiss format using the Aesop’s Tables software, where players are assigned a side as well as an opponent in each round. Day 2 of the event will feature the top cut for the Standard event, as well as a Startup side event.

In addition to the title, prizing, and prestige, the top four players of the 2023 American Continental Championship will earn an invitation to the Intercontinental Championship on September 2nd. We will be requesting contact information from all those who make the Cut, in case we need to make any substitutions for Intercontinentals.

Registration is open now! Visit the official registration page for all the details. There, you can purchase a ticket, and join us in celebrating the passion, talent, and camaraderie that define the Netrunner community. We’ll see you in Cascadia!
