Hello Runners!
As you may have read on our social media, the initial tranche of tickets for the 2023 Null Signal Games World Championship is sold out. This is shaping up to be the largest Null Signal Games in-person event ever, and, as always, it is thanks to you all.
If you missed your chance to buy tickets, don’t lose hope, because there are 30 reserved tickets for Nationals, Continentals, and Intercontinentals winners, as well as Run Together applicants. Any of those tickets that are left unclaimed (either because the claimant already bought one, or because they cannot attend) will be released for sale in a second wave.
Information for National, Continental, Intercontinental Champions:
The process for claiming your free and reserved World Championship ticket as a National, Continental, and Intercontinental champion will be as follows:
- Winners of National, Continental, and Intercontinental Championships will have two years to redeem their free and reserved World Championship tickets. This means that, if you are unable to attend the 2023 World Championship, you may claim your ticket for the 2024 World Championship. To notify us that you wish to claim your free and reserved ticket for the 2023 World Championship, email op@nullsignal.games by 1 September 2023.
- If you win a National Championship after Worlds 2023 has taken place, you may claim your ticket for the 2024 or 2025 World Championships.
- If you won any National or Continental tournament during the 2022 season, and did not claim your bye for Worlds 2022, you are entitled to claim a free ticket for Worlds 2023 instead. To notify us that you wish to claim your free and reserved ticket for the 2023 World Championship, email op@nullsignal.games by 1 September 2023.
- If you already bought a ticket for the 2023 World Championship, and subsequently won a National, Continental, or Intercontinental championship during the 2023 season, you are entitled to claim your free ticket: the price you paid when you bought your ticket will be refunded, and the extra ticket will be released for sale. Refunds will be processed when we release the remaining tickets (see below on when that will be). To notify us that you wish to claim your free and reserved ticket for the 2023 World Championship, email op@nullsignal.games, specifying that you have already bought a ticket and wish to receive a refund by 1 September 2023.
- If any person who has a free ticket has not claimed it by September 1st 2023 we will understand they do not wish to claim their free ticket for this year’s World Championship, and will be releasing their reserved ticket.
Release process for remaining tickets:
- A number of tickets will be reserved for successful applicants to the Run Together Fundraiser, the initiative run by DanB that aims to sponsor Netrunner players who lack the funds to travel to Worlds. When successful applicants are selected, Null Signal Games will award them tickets free of charge.
- Any remaining tickets will be released for sale to people on the Eventbrite waiting list in early September. They will have up to 2 days to buy them, after which any tickets remaining will be released for sale to the public.
- To join the waiting list, go to the Eventbrite listing and click “get tickets”. You will then be offered the option to “Join the waitlist”.
