Competitive Season Tracker

This page acts as ‘one stop shop’ for Organized Play (OP) Events for the current year’s Competitive Season. To find Netrunner events around the world within these categories, we recommend using Always Be Running and filtering by the event type. Make sure to bookmark this page if you plan on keeping up to date with competitive events!

Here is an overview of all event types:



Mainline Events

Casual Tournament Kits (CTK)

Casual Tournament Kits are the inaugural and mid-season event of the Organized Play season. These will be the first structured tournament that many new players will attend. They will be run by local organizers. Tournament Organizers may purchase a kit during a two-week ordering period. Once the ordering period close, kits will be shipped directly to the buyer’s address from our supplier and limited amount will be kept in stock for sale afterwards. 

H1 Casual Tournament Kit

H1 Casual Tournament Kit is intended for events organized during the first half of the year. However all H1 CTKs of a given year must now be run by March 31st of the following year.

  • Restrictions: None; Unlimited Number of Events May Be Organized

H2 Casual Tournament Kit

H2 Casual Tournament Kit is intended for events held during the second half of the year. However, Tournament Organizers may hold them at any point up until October 31st of the following year.

  • Restrictions: None; Unlimited Number of Events May Be Organized

District Championships

District Championships are the most accessible tier of competitive play. District Championships are run by a local organizer and awarded to communities that can consistently support events of at least 10 people within reasonable distance to travel in a single day. Kits will be purchased via an application process. In case of multiple applicants per nearby location, Null Signal Games Organized Play will decide who to award it to. Areas with multiple, spread out communities of players may have more than one Megacity approved. Once applications close, kits will be assembled and shipped directly to the buyer’s address from our supplier.

  • Period: January 1st – April 31st
  • Distribution Method: Direct NSG Distribution
  • Restrictions: One event per meta that can support at least 10 players within a reasonable distance; Exceptions Possible

Megacity Championships

Megacity Championships are run by a local organizer and limited in number per geographical location. Kits will be purchased via an application process. In case of multiple applicants per nearby location, Null Signal Games Organized Play will decide who to award it to. Areas with multiple, spread out communities of players may have more than one Megacity approved. Once applications close, kits will be assembled and shipped directly to the buyer’s address from our supplier.

  • Distribution Method: Direct NSG Distribution
  • Restrictions: One Event per geographical location within 3-4 hours of travel; Exceptions Possible

Continental Championships 

Continental Championships are premier Null Signal Games organized play events. There are three in-person Continental Championships: Europe, Middle East, and Africa; Americas; and Asia-Pacific. Face-to-face Continentals will be applied for to be run by a local organizer, who will be sponsored by Null Signal Games. Online continentals for each region will be run by Null Signal Games

  • Restrictions: One in-person and one online per Region (Americas; Europe, Middle East, and Africa; Asia-Pacific);

World Championship

This event is an NSG-organized in-person event. The 2025 World Championship is planned to be held in Europe in early to mid October, but the location and exact dates have yet to be determined. This is the absolute premiere event in the competitive season, and is often thought of as a convention rather than a tournament. It is typically hosted over 3 days.

Circuit Breaker Invitational Championship 

This event is an online, Null Signal Games-organized event. It will be open by invitation only to winners of NSG Nationals and Casual Tournament Kits that took place in the 2024 season. This is an exhibition event meant to highlight the previous year’s winners.

Online Tournaments

Accelerated Meta Tests

AMTs are casual online events organized and run by Null Signal Games and held once or twice each month (at rotating time zones) on Jinteki.net. They are free to enter. There is no physical prize support. The winner (and runner-up, depending on size) is awarded an invitation to next season’s Circuit Breaker Invitational tournament. Game Night Kits

These are small prize kits designed to be used by local organizers to provide prize support of any kind. They are briefly available on the Null Signal Games store and are are available quarterly via our print-on-demand stores. These kits have no restrictions on how TOs use or award their contents.
