Recruitment Drive April 2026

Null Signal Games is currently recruiting for three roles: one in the Studio Coordination Team, one in the Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Team, and one in the Translation Team. The Studio Coordination Team ensures that the people working to create new cards have clear deadlines and are able to meet them. The EDI Team works to break down the barriers to people playing the game and strives to make players feel welcome and safe in the community. The Translation team helps make Netrunner as accessible as possible to people around the world.

If you’re keen to help out in one of these areas, and the description of either of these roles sounds like a great match, please submit an application! See more information on each role below.

If you are reading this far in the future, please check out our recruitment portal for the latest information on all of our positions.

Please note: these positions are unpaid. Null Signal Games is an all-volunteer organization.

Please note that Null Signal Games primarily communicates through an internal Discord server. The ability to access Discord is necessary for all roles.

Production Designer

As a production designer you will be working to ensure the highest quality possible for all of NSG’s physical products. This will involve layout of the cards as well as product boxes as well as some graphic design work. In this position you will be responsible for bringing together the work of all of our studio teams into the final product and delight in the satisfaction of being able to see it on store shelves and hold it in your own hands.

Applications will close once we’ve filled 3 positions.

  • Creating new game assets and improving existing ones.
  • Performing quality control checks on digital proofs and physical materials.

Current/Upcoming Projects

  • Layout of translated versions of new and existing sets.
  • Improving the design and quality of our physical products.

Workload

You will be expected to commit roughly 5 hours of work a week, however the workload may increase during the final production stages. Our team is split across the globe, so some flexibility with time zones is helpful for meetings.

A note on diversity

We acknowledge that the tabletop industry as a whole needs to do a better job with diversity. We are prioritizing those applicants that can bring to NSG different experiences and points of view than we currently have on our team.

EDI Process Manager

The Equality, Diversity, and Inclusivity team is looking for a new member that can help better define and organize our current processes. Because of the nature of the team, our work is sporadic, sensitive and spread across all aspects of the organization. You will help refine the process through which we handle and track sensitive data and interact with our liaisons within other teams. The work the EDI team does can be emotionally intense, confrontational, and triggering, while also having a very irregular schedule. You will work closely with the members of the team to find methods to alleviate these difficulties.

Applications will close once we’ve filled 1 slot.

Duties

  • Coordinate ad-hoc cross-department committees and discussions to deal with EDI situations.
  • Maintain an awareness of needs/requests other departments may have, and provide assistance to them with EDI matters.

Current/Upcoming Projects

  • Define a main process on how EDI events are to be handled.
  • Facilitate the integration of liaisons within the various departments.
  • Maintain and construct internal EDI guidelines.

Must-have skills

  • An understanding of how sensitive information should be handled.
  • A passion for helping to create a safer and more productive environment for all our members.
  • Being able to communicate with various teams and understand various organizational processes.
  • Trauma-informed.

Workload

There is no minimum time requirement for this role. A lot of the work is regarding defining documents and processes so your schedule will be very flexible. However, you will need to discuss and observe with various members of our team. And since that team is split across the globe, some flexibility with time zones is helpful for meetings.

A note on diversity

We acknowledge that the tabletop industry as a whole needs to do a better job with diversity. We are prioritizing those applicants that can bring to NSG different experiences and points of view than we currently have on our team.

NOTE: Null Signal Games is a volunteer organization. All roles at Null Signal Games are unpaid.

Specific Translation Team Member

Null Signal Games is committed to ensuring as many people around the world as possible can play Netrunner in the language of their choice. As a translator, you will work with the other translators for your language to translate upcoming card sets (and older card sets, if they don’t already exist in your language) and the NSG website. You will be joining a motivated team, with a mix of people who have been translating for NSG since the beginning and newer recruits.

Applications will remain open for the foreseeable future.

Duties

  • Translating card text for upcoming sets using our translation software to translate all the text on a card.
  • Proofreading cards before publication by checking the final cards for layout issues, typos, inaccuracies, etc.
  • Translating website text in our ongoing project to translate our website using our translation software.

Current/Upcoming Projects

  • Complete translations of existing sets.
  • Translate the required materials for the release of our next set.

Must-have skills

  • Native speaker of the language you will be translating into (usually your mother tongue), with excellent written language skills.
  • Excellent English skills, sufficient to grasp the nuances of both rules text and flavor text and to communicate with other Null Signal Games members.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good IT skills and the ability to quickly learn how to use new software (translation software).

Preferred skills

(These skills would be nice, but can be learned in role.)

  • Translation experience, especially with board/card/videogames.
  • Good time management.
  • Deep knowledge of the Netrunner rules and card pool.
  • Self-motivated and patient.

Workload

This role has no minimum time commitment requirement but in the periods between set releases, the workload will be considerably lower.
