New Printing Arrangements and Global Restock

We are excited to announce that production has begun on a new print run of all our mainline products. This will include a restock of Elevation across all regions and the introduction of absent sets to certain regions, such as the Ashes Cycle and the Borealis Cycle in both the EU and UK. We are expecting the first products in this restock to be available in mid-January.

We know that stock has been a pain point for many players for a long time, and we’re sorry that it isn’t arriving sooner. This is a large print run, and we anticipate that it will alleviate our long-term difficulties with stocking.

While January is still some time away, this is a significant step towards delivering our sets with a consistent cadence. This printing will focus on maintaining our English language stock; while our translated cards have also been out of stock longer than we would like, please rest assured that they are a high priority and that we will begin printing restocks of them as soon as we can.

New Printing Partner

Our longtime printing partner, Make Playing Cards, gave us tremendous flexibility when NSG was in its early stages and has been a reliable partner as we’ve matured. However, we have outgrown what they can provide us, and continuing to print with them has held us back from exploring more exciting projects and keeping sets in stock globally.

From now on, NSG will be printing with Boda Games for all of our main sets. Boda Games opens the doors for us to print at a volume that will keep our products available in stores and online. All sets, including Vantage Point, will be sourced through Boda Games in all regions for consistency going forward.

While there are minor differences in color, printing, and cardstock between the new cards printed by Boda Games and MPC products, these are consistent with slight variations from different manufacturers that many players have used, such as DriveThruCards, and they all meet our high quality standards. We have tested them extensively ourselves, with input from a number of players within and outside of NSG. We expect players to be able to shuffle them together with cards from previous print runs without noticing the difference in all normal use cases. To help alleviate any concerns about the differences, here are some side-by-side comparisons of the new and old cards:

We have taken the lessons of past failures with printing and stocking very seriously, and have applied a much more rigorous process this time round to ensure the product is to the same standard as our current cards from MPC.

Note that while Boda Games will be our dedicated printer for our own stores going forward, we will still maintain print-on-demand through MPC and DriveThru cards for regions we cannot directly support.

We’re very excited about this development, not only for this new partnership but also the beginning of a new phase in making our sets consistently available. While it’s been a long and hard road to improve our distribution in 2025, we’re confident that 2026 will realize the benefits of that effort.

Editor’s note: We announced on social media last week that we unfortunately did not meet our goal of being able to provide a concrete release date for our next set, Vantage Point, by the end of November. Please stay tuned – we’ll let you know more as soon as we can.
