The 2024 Organized Play Season is underway, with our first AMT of the season concluded. Congratulations to The King on winning the first AMT of 2024 with Hoshiko Shiro and Ob Superheavy Logistics.
The second February AMT is fast approaching. It will be held on Sunday, February 18th starting at 9 am UTC. This will be our first tournament in the Sunset format, and we are very excited to see what folks cook up. See further details of the event on Always Be Running, and read more about Sunset here.
Looking ahead to next month, we will be running two Accelerated Meta Test tournaments again in March. As always, these tournaments are open to all and free to enter.
Americas Timezone AMT
Format: Sunset (Single Sided Swiss)
Date: Saturday, March 2nd
Time: 10 am CST (4 pm UTC)
- As the Sunset format does not qualify for Circuit Breaker Invitational invites, the prizing for this event will be a playset of full-art foil SanSan City Grids for the Top 16 placing players.
- Interest for this event is difficult to predict, but we expect 6 rounds of Single Sided Swiss (40 minutes per round) and a cut to Top 4.
- We will be compiling decklist data for our Sunset AMTs. Decklists will be required at registration.

APAC Timezone AMT
Format: Standard (Single Sided Swiss)
Date: Sunday, March 24th
Time: 9 am AWST (1 am UTC)
- First place will receive an invite to the 2025 Circuit Breaker Invitational, with a second invite available for second place if there are 20 or more players.
- We expect 6 rounds of Single Sided Swiss (40 minutes per round) and a cut to Top 4, but this is subject to change based on player numbers.

As usual, both these events will be run on jinteki.net and coordinated through the Netrunner Event Hub discord server.
Improving your Online Tournament Experience
One of my favorite things about in-person play is getting to meet new players and spend quality time with friends at the event. These experiences can be difficult to replicate for online events, but there are some things you can do to make your AMT experience more personable.
Use the provided voice chat rooms in the Netrunner Event Hub. When joining the table on jinteki.net, kindly ask your opponent if they would like to join you in Discord voice. Not all players may wish to use voice, so do be respectful of people’s preferences. Using voice chat can help with navigating client errors or judge calls, and also may lead to enlightening conversations about the lines of play, matchup tactics, or meta strategies.
Take advantage of the unique perks that online play offers. Online tournaments let you compete from the comfort of your own space. Stretch and move around between matches, eat a snack whenever you want, blast your favorite music, catch up on your chores, get started on prepping dinner; you have the freedom to unwind in any way you choose.
Encourage your friends to join you at the event. You can check in with them between rounds to share your tales of woe and triumph. Even if your meta mates are unable to attend, sharing your progress in your local discord or other online spaces allows your mind a chance to process. It’s better not to carry the energy from a bad round with you into the next, and commiserating with friends can alleviate that burden.
Alternatively, hang out with other players and viewers by watching the stream between your matches. Every AMT is streamed over on twitch.tv/nullsignalnetrunner. Get hype for your next round as our commentators discuss top tier plays, interesting jank, and everything in between. Join in the fun in chat, repping for your favorite players and reacting to big moments as they happen.
