Hello to all of you wonderful runners and devious corporations! We are pleased to announce that the 2024 H2 Circuit Opener kit is now available. You can order it via our online store until May 17th at 23:59 UTC. The kit has been made available to all regions, including those not normally served by our store.
There are two versions of the kit: Basic and Boosted. Each Tournament Organizer can pick the kit that best suits their expected number of players.

A Basic Circuit Opener kit contains:

A Boosted Circuit Opener kit contains:
- 5× See How They Run playmat (illustrated by Benjamin Giletti)

- 51× Tree Line (illustrated by Emilio Rodríguez)
- 12× Pelangi (illustrated by Scott Uminga)
These kits will only be available for sale until May 17th 2024. The price of the Basic kit is $60 USD, and the price of the Boosted kit is $100 USD. This includes free shipping worldwide.
As mentioned in our earlier article, we will also be including replacements to the 2023 H2 CO prizes with all copies of the 2024 H2 Circuit Opener.
The price above is also intended to cover any applicable customs duties. We are aware that in some cases deliveries of our previous Circuit Opener kit were charged customs duties even though they should not have been. Our process for this season should help resolve these issues, but should you be charged customs duties for your kit, please contact us and we will reimburse you.
Basic Prize Structure
- Winner: Invitation to the 2025 Circuit Breaker Invitational Championship (if there are at least 8 players attending). Tournaments with 20 or more players in attendance may offer invites to the top 2 players instead.
- Top 2: See How They Run playmat.
- Top 4: 3× Tranquility Home Grid alt art
- Top 8: 3× Tree Line alt art.
Each kit contains an additional playset of Tranquility Home Grid and Tree Line, plus an additional See How They Run playmat, for the Tournament Organizer to keep or use as they see fit. The kit also contains 6x Pelangi, which was originally issued during the Worlds 2022 Startup event. These alt arts can be used as side-event prizes, door prizes, or anything else at the Organizer’s discretion.
Boosted Prize Structure
- Winner: Invitation to the 2025 Circuit Breaker Invitational Championship (if there are at least 8 players attending). Tournaments with 20 or more players in attendance may offer invites to the top 2 players instead.
- Top 4: See How They Run playmat.
- Top 8: 3× Tranquility Home Grid alt art
- Top 16: 3× Tree Line alt art.
Each kit contains an additional playset of Tranquility Home Grid and Tree Line, and an additional See How They Run playmat, for the Tournament Organizer to keep or use as they see fit. The kit also contains 12x Pelangi which was originally issued during the Worlds 2022 Startup event. These alt arts can be used as side-event prizes, door prizes, or anything else at the Organizer’s discretion.
There is no limit on the number of Circuit Breakers each Organizer may purchase and/or run, as long as each event is supported by at least one kit. An entry fee may be collected to cover the cost of the kit (and venue hire, where applicable). Note that if a single event uses more than one kit, that event will still only offer up to 2 invites to the 2025 Circuit Breaker Invitational.
We encourage Tournament Organizers to supplement the prize pool with other prizes sourced from Game Night Kits or community creators. Players can log on to AlwaysBeRunning.net to find events, as well as claim their finishes on events they played in.
Event Poster
We have made a poster featuring the art of See How They Run for organizers to download and use as they please to promote their circuit opener, or any future Netrunner event. You can download it directly in A3 or A4 format. Alternatively, you can find it alongside other posters on the Tournament Organizers page.
Event Restrictions
Circuit Openers are Sanctioned events for the purposes of the Organized Play Policies. This means they are expected to follow the prize structure above. The tournament structure for these events is classified as Casual, and should also follow guidelines outlined in the Policies. As a Sanctioned event, purchasing this kit means contracting an obligation to run a Circuit Opener. Buying a kit to either keep or to resell undermines the spirit of these competitions and the legitimacy of the prizes which other players had to enter and place in a tournament to win.
Circuit Openers can be run in either Startup or Standard format. Tournament Organizers are expected to advertise their events on AlwaysBeRunning.net.
This event can be run at any point during the 2024 calendar year. For the winner to be able to take advantage of their 2025 Circuit Breaker Invitational entry, it is advised events should take place before December 2024.
