While many of you in North America have already received your prizes from last summer’s Continental and Intercontinental Championships, and they’re beginning to arrive in many other parts of the world too, we’re sorry to announce that residents of Europe will have to wait a little longer to receive their prizes.
If you are a European tournament organiser who has ordered prize support from us before, you know that we have occasionally experienced delays obtaining customs clearance for items shipped from our manufacturers to our European regional OP manager, due to no fault of theirs. Unfortunately, not only has this problem recurred, but it has been exacerbated, with Spanish customs having recently confirmed that one of the packages of prize support we have been expecting has been lost in their system.
To minimise delays, we will be re-ordering the missing prizes, and this time they will be shipped to a different country within Europe, to ensure that the problems with Spanish customs don’t happen again. This will also be the case with the Worlds 2020 prizes.
Additionally, our Rest-of-World prize coordinator has been informed of some delivery issues that mean a few packages will need to be re-sent and potentially replaced, so, while some of you in the affected regions will have already received your prizes, some of you will experience some more delays.
We apologise for these delays, and we will be exploring more efficient options of distributing prizes in the future!
