We at Null Signal Games Web Dev would like to showcase the brand new Self Reporting feature on tournaments.nullsignal.games – which you might know better as Cobra.
This is a feature the community has been calling for for a long time, to improve the experience for tournament organizers AND players. Now every player can report their score on their own without needing to hand in a paper slip or run to tournament HQ.
Tournament Organizers now have the option to enable self reporting in the tournament creation page.

Self-reporting requires self-registration, so players can prove that they are allowed to report a pairing. While self-registering, the tournament player name doesn’t need to match the NRDB name – your account gets linked in the background to assure that you are you.
To report a game, simply go to the pairings tab in the tournament view and find your current pairing. On the right, there is a button which says “Report Pairing”.

Click the button to see a dialog which gives you multiple options. You can use one of the predefined scores or use the “Custom” option to manually enter a score (great for alternate formats like team events). After clicking a preset or submit, the score gets reported.

After both players have reported the results, if the reports match, the score is saved for the pairing.

The TO can see reported scores in their TO View and reset the reports if necessary, or manually change results. Conflicting player reports will be highlighted in yellow to make it clear that the TO needs to resolve the score.

The feature was already used in this year’s EMEA Continentals 2025 in Cologne! The feedback we received was positive. EMEA organizer OF15-15 told us that “Self reporting went very well. It reduced manual work for HQ and the amount of paper slips for match reporting.”. In addition, the TOs of APAC Continentals in Sydney summarized their experience as “very smooth” and found it useful that self-reporting also worked in combination with manual reporting!
Of course, not everything went perfectly. Custom reports were a bit confusing and not clearly indicated. We will continue to refine the user experience for self reporting over the next few weeks.
We hope that this feature makes each Netrunner tournament even better and provides a smooth experience for every player and TO!
Finally, we are busy refining and upgrading Cobra to make it ready for Worlds this fall. If you as a tournament organizer or player have any feedback for us from the events leading up to Worlds, please tell us via this feedback form.
