Volunteers Needed for Null Signal Games 2026 World Championship!

The Organized Play team is excited to invite our wonderful community to volunteer for the 2026 Null Signal Games World Championship! This event will take place in Montreal, Canada, from October 2nd to 4th at Palais des Congres. You can find more details about the venue in our announcement article here.

Organizing an event of this scale for 250 participants is a major undertaking, and the more volunteers we have, the smoother everything will go! Our goal is to create a balanced schedule with manageable shifts and breaks to ensure  that all volunteers have time to rest and enjoy the event over the three days.

We’re looking for volunteers in the following roles:

  • Judges: We’re assembling a diverse team of judges and are looking for volunteers who are detail-oriented and passionate about Netrunner. Judges will work under the supervision of the Head Judge, with tasks distributed to ensure an efficient and balanced workload. We welcome volunteers of all knowledge levels and enthusiasm!
  • HQ/Data Entry: Volunteers in this role will assist with event registration, participant management, running the proxy printer station, and entering match results. Your help will be critical in ensuring the event runs smoothly and on schedule.
  • Salespeople: We need volunteers to manage the Null Signal Games shop and Artist Colony, helping with customer service, inventory management, sales transactions, and handling money.
  • Commentators: If you’re interested in providing commentary for the stream during the event, we’d love to have you on board! Volunteers in other roles who would also like to commentate will be accommodated.

Note for other streamers: If you are planning to run any kind of Worlds 2026 side-stream on your own channel, especially if it’s in a language other than English, let us know – we would love to promote you before and during the event!

Volunteer Compensation

As a thank you, all volunteers will receive the following:

  • A paid ticket to attend Worlds 2026, including the early bird incentives.
  • A special volunteer-exclusive alternate art card, and a volunteer-branded playmat from the main event.
  • A reimbursement of up to $150 per day to cover food and lodging expenses (excluding Thursday setup day).
  • Card prizing for the day(s) you were volunteering. If you volunteer on Saturday you will receive all card prizes from the main event. Volunteering on Friday or Sunday will get you all Worlds 2026 side event cards.

We aim to respond to all volunteer applications by early June (before the early-bird window closes), so please do NOT buy a ticket if you apply until you hear back from us.

Discord Server

We have prepared a Discord server for everyone attending to use. Discord is our primary means of communicating with volunteers and quickly responding to attendees prior to the event.

We will be using the Discord server to post announcements and other information specific to the event. Attendees can use it to find roommates, assemble teams for the Crown of Servers event, plan side events, share recommendations for food and ask about anything else you might need.

If you plan on attending the event we highly recommend you join the server.

Upcoming Dates

  • April 1st: Ticket sales begin. We will once again offer early bird tickets with a discount on the weekend pass, including a full art foiled Vantage Point card and a hard enamel Worlds 2026 pin.
  • April 30th: Volunteer responses close.
  • June 30th: Early bird ticket sales end. Only regular tickets will be sold from this point on (no discount, pin or foil full art). This is a small extension from the original announcement.
