Missing and Overdue Prizing Update

Organised Play Lead Ysengrin brings us an update on the status of overdue prizing from NSG events.

I want to start off by apologizing to everyone about the state of Organized Play’s fulfillment of online prizing. Many players never received the prizing they were owed for multiple events that took place in 2024. We have largely been radio silent on this front, and that has been a major shortcoming from me.

I made some bad decisions, and we had issues where entire orders of prizes reached nobody. These then slowly built up over time, to where it felt like the issues were too big to handle ad hoc, so they were shelved for another day. We’re sorry that this is what has happened and are finally hoping to take steps to close this chapter.

First, an update on prizing for NSG events in 2025, in particular Online Districts, Megacities and Continentals. We are awaiting playmats to reach our distributor, and then those prizes should all be in the mail in November. We’ve changed our ordering process to order these supplies ahead of time, so hopefully in future years they will reach people even faster.

For those of you who are owed prizes from ‘23-’24, be on the lookout for an email from us in the next week (you may have received it already). We will send you a list of what we think we owe you in terms of prizing, along with where we will ship the prizes to. You do not need to respond to the email unless you notice we’ve made a mistake. Two weeks after we send out that email, we will place a single order to cover all of those prizes, and then hopefully distribute them out a few weeks after that. Our hope is that by early next year there will no longer be any backlog of prizes.

For Worlds ‘23 prizes, we are planning on reissuing those cards as additional prizing in Casual Tournament Kits next year, so please keep an eye out for those.

I’d like to apologize again for this situation. Thanks for your patience and your feedback during this delay. If you have any further questions during the coming weeks as we work through this backlog, please contact op@nullsignal.games.
