Hey Runners! Below you will find all of the roles we are currently advertising for. 

The Organized Play Team plays an important role in making sure that things around events from judging to prize distribution run smoothly. The Distribution Team ensures that cards and product can reach retailers and players. The Community Team is responsible for managing the creation of content for players and fans of the game to enjoy. If you’re keen to help out in one of these areas and the description of either of these roles sounds like a great match, please submit an application!

Please note: these positions are unpaid. Null Signal Games is an all-volunteer organization.

Please note that Null Signal Games primarily communicates through an internal Discord server. The ability to access Discord is necessary for all roles.


Online Play Coordinator

As Online Play Coordinator, it will be up to you to schedule and manage the full range of Netrunner online events throughout the year. This is a highly interactive role within the Organized Play team. You will be the primary contact with tournament organizers and judges that run those online events to ensure everything from tickets to prizes run smoothly. Additionally, you will need to coordinate with the Community team to announce when events will be held.

Applications close on 30 July, 2025 and we will be recruiting 1 Online Play Coordinator.

Duties

  • Schedule Accelerated Meta Tests, Online District, Megacity and Continental Championships, the Circuit Breaker Invitational, and other online events run by NSG.
  • Coordinate Tournament Organizers and Judges to staff the above events.
  • Ensure articles are published in a timely fashion to promote the above events.
  • Manage Eventbrite event pages for ticketed events.
  • Match entrants to prize distribution sheets.

Current/Upcoming Projects

  • 2025 Online Continental Championships.
  • Accelerated Meta Tests.
  • 2026 Circuit Breaker Invitational.

Must-have skills

  • Familiarity with Discord.
  • Running Competitive Events either for Netrunner or a different game.

Preferred skills

(These skills would be nice, but can be learned in role.)

  • Experience running online Netrunner events.
  • Experience with Eventbrite.
  • Familiarity with Organized Play Policies.

Workload

Completing the work for this role will usually take up around 2-3 hours per week, mostly consisting of scheduling and administrative work, so you will be able to do this in your own time. Our team is split across the globe, so some flexibility with time zones is helpful for meetings.

Organized Play Policy Writer

The Organized Play Policy Writer is responsible for ensuring that the policies which govern tournament organization, judging and alternate art legality at events are kept up to date and in line with the needs of the Organized Play Team and the player base in general. The role-holder will be highly involved with the Organized Play and Rules Teams to ensure that pressing concerns are reflected in updates to the Policy. You will also be working with the Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity Team to ensure that tournament organization and all things related to events are as open to all as possible.

Duties

  • Update the Organized Play Policies.
  • Write new policies as the need arises.
  • Monitor public feedback for potential issues.
  • Maintain a changelog (a record of the changes that the policies undergo with updates).

Current/Upcoming Projects

  • Streamlining and reformatting the current Organized Play Policies for improved usability.

Must-have skills

  • Strong English writing skills.
  • Tournament experience in any card game.

Preferred skills

(These skills would be nice, but can be learned in role.)

  • Familiarity with Google Docs.
  • Familiarity with other typesetting programs.

Workload

This role will not involve much consistent work except gathering public feedback. Other than that you will be making around 1-3 revisions to the Organized Play Policies, spread out over 3-4 month periods. Our team is split across the globe, so some flexibility with time zones is helpful for meetings.

Prize Coordinator

Prize Coordinator is the position within the NSG Organized Play team that is responsible for sourcing the contents of prize kits, and ensuring that they are sent on time and arrive at their intended locations. In addition to the other members of the Organized Play team, the Prize Coordinator will frequently be working with the Distribution team to get prizes into the hands of players.

Applications close on 30 August, 2025 and we will be recruiting 1-2 Prize Coordinators.

Duties

  • Coordinate the ordering, production, and shipping timelines on prizes for physical kits.
  • Coordinate with the Distribution Team on the contents of kits and addresses that kits should go to.
  • Check emails in the OP Inbox.
  • Contact manufacturers for quotes, templates, and place orders.

Current/Upcoming Projects

  • Worlds 2025 Prizing.
  • 2026 Prizing.
  • New prize types.

Must-have skills

  • Comfort with writing English email inquiries.
  • Organizational Skills.

Preferred skills

(These skills would be nice, but can be learned in role.)

  • Familiarity with Trello, Asana or other project management tools.
  • Familiarity with Affinity Image editing suite or similar.

Workload

Most of the workload for this role involves only a few minutes on most days of responding to questions about the status of sent prizing from players. Also expect to spend about 5-6 hours managing the various tasks related to each specific prize kit. Our team is split across the globe, so some flexibility with time zones is helpful for meetings.

Retail Account Liaison

As Retail Account Liaison, you will work within the Distribution team to help ensure that Null Signal Games’ wholesale program runs smoothly, is easy to use and maintains growth. To do this, you will be working with brick and mortar retailers who currently carry our product or may be interested in doing so in the future. The Distribution Team’s work is fairly steady and routine, and you will be working with them and the Support Team frequently to solve any issues. Occasionally you may also be working with the Marketing and Organized Play Teams for more special projects.

Applications close on 30 July, 2025 and we will be recruiting 1 Retail Account Liaison.

Duties

  • Identify brick and mortar retailers across the world who might be interested in carrying our product and engage them through outreach.
  • Correspond with existing accounts through regular quarterly email blasts.
  • Receive emails from retailers and respond accordingly.
  • Communicate with the Support Team to troubleshoot issues.
  • Maintain contact with the Organized Play and Marketing Teams to stay up to date on crossover projects.
  • Use Shopify to track stock levels and monitor sales data.

Current/Upcoming Projects

  • Troubleshooting 3rd Party Logistics warehouses for E-Commerce fulfilment in the EU and UK.
  • Ensuring that the US Logistics system is consistent with these above processes implemented for the EU and UK.

Must-have skills

  • Strong initiative and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Willingness to communicate through email, phone calls and Discord. 

Preferred skills

(These skills would be nice, but can be learned in role.)

  • Knowledge of the business side of the board game industry (B2B & B2C).
  • Understanding of differences between regional markets across the globe.
  • Ability to analyze production costs and ensure sustainable pricing.
  • Experience using Shopify.

Workload

This role will require you to have the time and ability to stay engaged with retailers consistently and this will take up about 5 hours of your time weekly. Additionally, there will be increased workload surrounding releases as well as monthly team meetings on Discord. Our team is split across the globe, so some flexibility with time zones is helpful for meetings.

Video and Stream Editor

As the Video and Stream Editor, you will be facilitating the production of video content, both live and pre-recorded, as we work towards producing more promotional streams and videos. As a part of this role, you will be helping edit long-form streams down to more condensed VODs, helping create promotional videos and designing graphics to be used in any of these mediums. 

Applications close on 30 July, 2025 and we will be recruiting 1 Video and Stream Editor.

Duties

  • Carrying out simple edits to condense streams down into more accessible VODs.
  • Helping create promotional videos for future releases and rules explanations.
  • Uploading to the NSG YouTube channel.
  • Designing transitions and other graphics for use in future videos and streams.

Current/Upcoming Projects

  • Currently, the main focus is on editing streams to make them look more professional.
  • In the future, we hope to be able to also create more custom videos for Null System Games.

Must-have skills

  • Experience with at least 1 major video editing software.
  • Ability to create simple video effects in After Effects or equivalent software.
  • A computer that can handle this software without significant difficulty.
  • Basic understanding of Netrunner.
  • Audio balancing/editing knowledge.

Preferred skills

(These skills would be nice, but can be learned in role.)

  • Graphic design knowledge preferred.
  • Experience with youtube or streaming preferred.

Workload

No more than 3-4 hours per week, typically. There will be meetings to attend with the department and check-ins during editing; some weeks could entail more hours than this when taking into account rendering times. Our team is split across the globe, so some flexibility with time zones is helpful for meetings.
