The Organized Play team is excited to invite our wonderful community to volunteer for the 2025 Null Signal Games World Championship! This event will take place in Edinburgh, Scotland, from October 17th to 19th at Dovecot Studios. You can find more details about the venue in our announcement article here.
Organizing an event of this scale for 300 participants is a major undertaking, and the more volunteers we have, the smoother everything will go! Our goal is to create a balanced schedule with manageable shifts and breaks, ensuring that all volunteers have time to rest and enjoy the event over the three days.
We’re looking for volunteers in the following roles:
- Judges: We’re assembling a diverse team of judges and are looking for volunteers who are detail-oriented and passionate about Netrunner. Judges will work under the supervision of the Head Judge, with tasks distributed to ensure an efficient and balanced workload. We welcome volunteers of all knowledge levels and enthusiasm!
- HQ/Data Entry: Volunteers in this role will assist with event registration, participant management, running the proxy printer station, and entering match results. Your help will be critical in ensuring the event runs smoothly and on schedule.
- Salespeople: We need volunteers to manage the Null Signal Games shop and Artist Colony, helping with customer service, inventory management, sales transactions, and handling money.
- Commentators: If you’re interested in providing commentary for the stream during the event, we’d love to have you on board! Volunteers in other roles who would also like to commentate will be accommodated.
To Apply as a Volunteer for Worlds 2025, please fill out this form. Please reply by 1 June.
Volunteer Compensation:
As a thank you for your time and efforts, all volunteers will receive the following:
- A paid ticket to attend Worlds 2025, including the early bird incentives.
- A special volunteer-exclusive alternate art card, and a volunteer-branded playmat from the main event.
- A reimbursement of up to $150 per day to cover food and lodging expenses.
- Card prizing for the day(s) you were volunteering. For example, if you volunteer on Saturday you will receive all card prizes from the main event
We aim to respond to all volunteer applications by mid-June (before the early-bird window closes), so please hold off on buying your Worlds ticket until you hear back.
Note for streamers: If you are planning to run any kind of Worlds 2025 side-stream on your own channel, especially if it’s in a language other than English, let us know – we would love to promote you before and during the event!
Side Events
In addition to the Day 1 Team Tournament and the main Standard tournament, Worlds traditionally sees many small side events happening alongside the main tournaments. These can be pods of Standard, Startup, or Eternal, drafts, RPG one-shots, or other Netrunner-related activities. Whether you are playing or volunteering, if you’d like to organize a pod or other side event during the weekend, keep an eye out for the Worlds Discord server, which will be going live when ticket sales do, and which will be the best place in which to coordinate and plan your side event! We’re going to have a few changes this year that should make side events more enticing and easier to schedule.
Volunteering for Worlds 2025 is a fantastic way to be part of the biggest event in the Netrunner community. We can’t do it without you, so please consider signing up! Apply here, and hopefully, we’ll see you in Edinburgh this October!
