What to pack
Early October in Montreal is normally about 15°C but can vary highly from shorts weather (low 20s °C) all the way down to needing a light jacket (< 10°C). Check the temperature leading up to your departure.
I recommend packing a good windbreaker and/or a sweater. Layers are best for adaptability and the windbreaker will get you far for early October weather.
