With Worlds just a month away, we are confirming now that there will be no further changes to the Standard format so that players have ample time to prepare for the biggest event of the year. As we outlined in the 26.05 update, this scheduled update had to come in the middle of the Continental Championships Season. Our threshold for making changes while Continentals are still being played is incredibly high, and nothing currently meets that bar.

This update becomes effective on September 19, in time for the 2026 World Championship.

Explanation

We value allowing players to carry their preparation and experience from the Continental Season into Worlds more than basically any other factor. There are some aspects of the metagame we are keeping an eye on – for example, there are currently multiple strong decks being played out of Ob Superheavy Logistics, but they are not unbeatable. We expect to see a lot of Ob at Worlds, but it is far from being the only strong Corp option, and we look forward to seeing how Runners try to tackle the wide range of viable Corps.
