Hello Netrunners,
As we prepare to enter the megacity of Kota Kalimantan in just a few weeks with Elevation’s release, we invite you to join us for the first set of competitive tier tournaments in the new meta with our upcoming Megacity Championships.
Our Megacity Championship organizers are currently working to confirm dates for their events, some of whom have already announced their exact dates and locations, as such we advise players to keep an eye on AlwaysBeRunning.Net for tournament listings as they are released.
Prize Structure

- Winner: Bye for any 2025 Continental Championship, invitation to the 2026 Circuit Breaker Invitational Championship
- Top 4: Clean Getaway playmat (Illustrated by Amirul Hhf)
- Top 16: Manegarm Skunkworks alt art (Illustrated by Toby Woodman)
- Top 36: Pichação alt art (Illustrated by Marlon Ruiz)
- Top of each faction: faction pin
TO’s Discretion (6 playsets): Aniccam Alt art (Illustrated by Dominique van Velsen)
This year, we have brought back faction pins for Megacities. Each kit will contain one faction pin of each type (HB, Jinteki, NBN, Weyland, Anarch, Criminal, Shaper and Neutral) to be awarded to the player who places highest with any given faction.
A Note about Circuit Breaker Invites: In the 2025 season, CBI invites will no longer roll down infinitely and are instead restricted to only to the players who made the top cut in each event. In events where there is no top cut, invites are limited to the top two placing players. See this article explaining why we made this change.
Continental Byes, like Circuit Breaker Invites, may be voluntarily passed down, but not beyond the Top Cut (or top 2).
Prize kits will contain instructions on how to accept and redeem byes from District Championships.
Each kit contains 3 extra playsets of Manegarm Skunkworks and Pichação plus an extra Clean Getaway playmat for the tournament organizer to keep as reward for their efforts or use as they see fit. The kit also includes 6 playsets of the Aniccam alt art which was originally available as part of the 2022 Nationals.
Updated Megacity Locations
In February, we announced the list of meatspace Megacity Championships. After receiving feedback and discussing with the relevant tournament organizers we have decided to make a small change: Montréal, Canada will no longer get a Megacity Championship, it has instead been awarded to Toronto, Canada.
We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused everyone and we will be taking measures to improve our application process for Districts, Megacities and Continentals for upcoming years.
