Announcing The 2025 World Championship

We are thrilled to announce the location and dates for the 2025 Netrunner World Championship. This year the event will take place on October 17th-19th at Dovecot Studios in Edinburgh, Scotland.

We’re very excited about this venue. It’s a unique space that will allow us to do some very fun and interesting things. We’re hoping to expand Worlds to include more elements than just tournaments this year. We will have more details to follow on that front in the coming months.

We’ve secured space for 300 players this year, and hope to make this the largest Netrunner World Championship in the Null Signal Games era.

Tickets will go on sale April 1st, on Eventbrite. This year we’re also introducing early bird tickets, which will be slightly cheaper and include some extra swag – we’ll have more details of this before tickets go on sale. We will also be putting a call out for volunteers before April 1st, and we’ll be opening up a new Worlds 2025 Discord server by that date as well.

For people making travel plans, here are our tentative start times for each day:

  • Friday 17th: Doors open 9:00 local time. Team Event starts 10:00.
  • Saturday 18th: Doors open 8:30. Standard Main Event starts 9:30.
  • Sunday 19th: Doors open 8:30. Standard Main Event Day 2 starts 9:00.

If you would like to come to Worlds but are in need of financial support to make the trip, however large or small your need, check out the Run Together initiative – here’s a quick message from Slapdash about Run Together 2025:

If you’re reading this exciting announcement and think it sounds super fun but is also very far away from you and too expensive to attend, I’d like to point you toward Run Together. It’s a community-organised (independent from NSG) fundraiser designed to help folks afford to go to Worlds by selling alt arts donated by wonderful artists from the Netrunner community. We’re still working on getting this year’s pack ready to sell, but in the meantime, if you need help travelling to Worlds you can apply to receive funding via this form. We’ll make a bigger announcement close to when the pack is ready.

We hope you’re as excited for Worlds 2025 as we are – can’t wait to see you all in Edinburgh!
