Hi Runners! It’s been a while since you’ve heard from me on this site, and it may just be the last. I decided over the Christmas holidays that, when my run at Null Signal Games hit the five-year mark, I would step back from day-to-day operations. I have a few personal creative projects I want to work on, and as none of them will pay my bills any time soon, there isn’t time for those, Null Signal, and my day job! (Universal Basic Income when?) That milestone happened on the 2nd of August and while it’s been a delightful half-decade – first as Community Manager and lately as VP of Engagement – it’s time for some fresh blood to take the reins. Think you’ve got what it takes to do my job? Then my final task here might well be to recruit you…
Long time members of the community will know that Null Signal tends to recruit in waves, and this recruiting trip is no different. We have a number of roles we need to recruit for, some of them to replace people retiring from the organization, and some newly-created roles. In addition, we’ve heard several of you say that you’d love to help, but don’t feel any of the roles are your strengths. To that end, we’ve also added a “general application” option – you tell us what you’re good at, and we’ll see where we can make best use of those skills.
Why should you come and volunteer at Null Signal Games?
- Helping to make the greatest game ever made.
- Free copy of our releases as they come out.
- A very supportive and passionate bunch of people to work with.
- Your very own office with a view
onof the moon! (Legal Disclaimer: view of the moon dependent on the orientation of your window and the time of day. Office may or may not be virtual. Moon may or may not be real.)
I hope you’ll consider joining us!
For the last time from me…
Always Be Running ❤

If you’ve got an idea for a way that you believe you can improve Null Signal Games and help make Netrunner the best game it can be, we want to hear from you! You don’t need a fully formed proposal with a multi-step guide on how you can achieve your goal within the next quarter, we’re looking for good ideas. You’ll need to explain a general idea of what you’re proposing, as well as how you can help make this happen. If you can take the reigns and make your idea work pretty much on your own, that’s great! If you feel like you need help from other members in a team, and guidance from a team lead, that’s great! Let us know what you feel Netrunner could benefit from.
Please submit your idea through this form, and we will get back to you when we can.
Got to the bottom of that big list and don’t see anything that suits your skills? Have a burning desire to help out in any way you can?
We always have tasks come up that need specific skills that we haven’t been able to predict, or general admin tasks that we don’t have anyone free to work on at the time. To this end, we’re looking to find people we can call on to help with projects. These people will report to the Project Management Lead, and get involved in a wide variety of tasks at Null Signal Games depending on the needs of the moment. There’s no time requirements here – a gap will be identified, and a callout raised to this group for someone free to come and get involved.
If this sounds like something you’d like to be involved in, complete this form telling us about yourself, making sure to complete the box asking you to list all the things you’re good at.
We’re always looking for more playtesters to help us shape the future of the game! Click here to apply for Ban List testing, or click here to apply for product testing. To join testing for the Eternal format, join this Discord server. All levels of experience with the game welcome!
We look forward to getting your applications and working with you in the future!
